‘Dental Check by One’ Practice of the Year 2026?

This award seeks to recognise a practice that has successfully introduced the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) Dental Check by One into their practice. (The aim of the campaign is to increase the number of children who access dental care aged 0-2 years.)
We invite applications from practices and also nominations from patients.
To give yourself the best chance of winning the award, please send a maximum of 750 words and no more than 5 pages of supporting documentation with your entry by Friday 6th February 2026.
The winner of the award will win £1000, a trophy, and the right to use the NASDAL Dental Check by One Practice of the Year 2026 title.
Winners will be notified by email before Friday 20th February 2026 and will receive the award and presentation at the BDIA Dental Showcase at Docklands ExCeL on the morning of Friday 13th March 2026.

Entries should ideally include:
- An introduction as to why the practice supported Dental Check by One
- Understanding of local population needs
- Evidence that the practice’s efforts, creativity and imagination have helped reach more potential patients
- Evidence of increased patient numbers following introduction of the scheme
- Evidence where possible that adoption of the Dental Check by One scheme has made good business sense
- Patient testimonials
- Particular credit will be given to applications with evidence supporting the practice’s contribution to the overall oral health of their community
Entry Terms & Conditions
- Entries will not be returned
- The decision of the Judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the award
Entrants must be from practices in the UK - All entries must be submitted in electronic format via email or using an online file sharing service e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox
- Sending of emails or files does not confirm receipt – please email us at chris.baker@nasdal.org.uk and we will confirm receipt of your entry
- All entrants must agree that a practice representative will attend the award presentation ceremony at the BDIA Dental Showcase at Docklands ExCeL on the morning of Friday 13th March 2026
